Turning Society Right

People are what society is. Turning society (or, people!) right can only be effected by turning the body posture and the face expression right.

So Focus - turning society right program - comprises the correction of both; that, in turn, opens the third eye chakra and the crown chakra.

As a species, we are social beings who live out our lives in the company of other humans. We organize ourselves into various kinds of social groupings, such as nomadic bands, villages, cities, and countries, in which we work, trade, play, reproduce, and interact in many other ways. Unlike other species, we combine socialization with deliberate changes in social behavior and organization over time. Consequently, the patterns of human society differ from place to place and era to era and across cultures, making the social world a very complex and dynamic environment.

Insight into human behavior comes from many sources. The views presented here are based principally on scientific investigation, but it should also be recognized that literature, drama, history, philosophy, and other nonscientific disciplines contribute significantly to our understanding of ourselves. Social scientists study human behavior from a variety of cultural, political, economic, and psychological perspectives, using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. They look for consistent patterns of individual and social behavior and for scientific explanations of those patterns. In some cases, such patterns may seem obvious once they are pointed out, although they may not have been part of how most people consciously thought about the world. In other cases, the patterns-as revealed by scientific investigation-may show people that their long-held beliefs about certain aspects of human behavior are incorrect.

Since the ancient times human beings have used non-violent means to bring about changes at individual level as well at the societal level. In olden days, a child or for example a daughter -in-law in traditional family when did not take food if the child/she felt injustice being done to her. It usually led to consider their point of view for resolving the family problems. Time out given in schools to misbehaving kids is a non-violent way of making displeasure known to them.

At the society level, there are examples when people denied giving taxes to the unjust ruler. In his life, Lord Buddha brought about reconciliation between the warring tribes and imparted peace among them. 300 years later, Ashoka the Great (Buddhist ruler of India around 300 BC) sent his missionaries to spread Lord Buddha's message which took root in the far off regions of Central Asia without waging wars.

In the recent past, Mahatma Gandhi perfected the technique of Non-violent struggle. He brought about both the political and social reforms in the Indian society. He used fasting for a cause as means to make it known that he was displeased with some social norms. He set an example for the human society by following the principle that a person desiring to bring about change should suffer himself rather than inflicting injuries on others.

Martin Luther King Jr. performed the Montgomery Strike in an exemplary manner. That brought about a social change in the American society. I vividly remember CNN shots, when the would be Russian President Boris Yeltsin walked unarmed towards a armored tank and shaking arms with the soldier occupying the tank loaded with ammunition. I was holding breath as I witnessed the incident. A single shot at Boris Yeltsin would have thrown whole of Russia in bloody war.

Lech Walesa in Poland led the struggle against Kremlin unarmed and was awarded Noble Prize. So was Nelson Mandela. In 1975, when Mrs Indira Gandhi imposed emergency, the Indian masses voluntarily courted arrest. That led to removal of emergency and subsequently the change of Congress party rule in India. In recent past, women in Pakistan took out a peace procession with placard and flowers in hand.

There is need to emphasize on the young minds the idea that most of the social, economic and political problems can be amicably solved by adopting non-violence means.
